Prayer to Mirror Infants’ Emotions with Empathy

Prayer

Loving God,
Help caregivers to be present and attentive to the emotions of their children. Give them the ability to respond with empathy, reflecting love, patience, and understanding. Let their presence bring comfort and reassurance in every moment.
Amen.

Scripture Reflection (KJV)

“Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.” — Romans 12:15

Connection grows when we share in one another’s emotions. Through empathy, caregivers help children feel seen and supported.

Practice / Task

Match your tone, facial expression, and energy to your child’s emotional state in a calm and supportive way.
Remind yourself: “When I connect emotionally, I help my child feel safe.”
