Prayer To Label Emotions Aloud (e.g., “You’re Feeling Upset”)

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Guide caregivers to speak life and understanding into the hearts of their children. Help them to gently name emotions, bringing clarity where there is confusion and comfort where there is distress. Let their words build awareness, trust, and connection.
Amen.

Scripture Reflection (KJV)

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” — Proverbs 25:11

Words have power. When caregivers name emotions, they offer children understanding and guidance in moments that may otherwise feel overwhelming.

Practice / Task

Throughout the day, label your child’s emotions in simple terms (e.g., “You’re feeling sad,” “You look excited”).
Remind yourself: “My words help my child understand their feelings.”
