Prayer to Seek Early Intervention If Developmental Concerns Arise
Tip 48: Seek Early Intervention If Developmental Concerns Arise
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Give caregivers wisdom to recognize when an infant may need additional developmental support. Remove fear or shame that may prevent families from seeking help. Guide caregivers toward the appropriate professionals and resources so that infants can receive support as early as possible.
Amen.
Scripture Reflection (KJV)
“In the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” — Proverbs 11:14
Seeking help does not mean that a caregiver has failed. Early support can provide families with information, resources, and strategies that help infants reach their developmental potential. When concerns arise, caregivers can seek guidance rather than waiting for difficulties to become more significant.
Practice / Task
If you notice a developmental concern, write down what you have observed and when it occurs. Ask yourself:
“What support could help this infant and family right now?”
