Prayer to Address Sensory Sensitivities With Professional Guidance
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for creating each child uniquely and wonderfully. Help us recognize and understand our children's individual sensory needs. Give us wisdom to seek professional guidance when needed and patience as we learn how to support them effectively. May we approach every challenge with compassion and understanding.
Amen.
Scripture Reflection (KJV)
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14a
Some infants experience sensory sensitivities that affect how they respond to sounds, textures, lights, movement, or touch. Understanding these needs can help caregivers provide appropriate support and reduce stress for both the child and family. God created every child uniquely, and learning how they experience the world allows us to better meet their needs.
Practice / Task
Observe your infant's responses to sensory experiences throughout the day. If certain sounds, textures, or environments consistently cause distress, document your observations and discuss them with your pediatrician or an early intervention specialist.
